Beginning with the foundation of NGR in 1996, the first plants and machines were already delivered to the export markets. Under the philosophy of “Working for a better Future”, approx. 1,300 NGR recycling machines in over 90 countries are currently improving plastic recycling rates, and contributing to a cleaner environment in the long term.
This is how NGR ensures the worldwide use of Austrian environmental technology. The export success can be seen in the fact that NGR is also one of the market leaders in emerging countries in Africa and Asia. Of particular note is that new customers in these countries are being persuaded to rethink their approach to plastics recycling. Instead of disposing of plastic waste in landfills, customers are converting the waste into renewed raw materials for the plastics processing industry using recycling solutions from NGR.
In addition to machines and systems for the conventional recycling of films and rigid packaging, NGR’s revolutionary new innovation in the PET recycling market is realizing particularly strong export success.
This system allows PET waste to be converted into food-grade raw material in an extremely efficient process.
In order to establish permanent international presence as an export-oriented company, subsidiaries were established in the USA, Malaysia and China. These NGR companies operate extremely successfully in their respective markets.
In total, NGR has maintained the near 100% export business model for years. A professional management team in the headquarters aligns all activities to the requirements of the export markets. Cultural differences and language barriers are not an obstacle for the global NGR team, so that people all over the world benefit from technology from Feldkirchen. International guests regularly visit NGR’s Feldkirchen facility and therefore get to experience the many advantages Austria has to offer.
The growth of NGR is also reflected in the expansion of the office building by 50% in 2019. This has created additional attractive workplaces for employees. Currently, NGR is gearing up for further growth with full order books. In addition to the existing plant, the construction of a new production site with 10,000 m² is planned according to the latest standards.
“The existing production facility will then be available exclusively for customer trials and for R&D,” says Wolfgang Steinwender, CEO of Next Generation Recyclingmaschinen GmbH, who uses this chance to recognize his team: “Committed and motivated employees are the key to the previous and future success, they deserve the export award!”.
